There is a menu option in the game called the "Read Personal History File" which gives you important news of what happened to your family and fiefs the previous season. The "Herald " option on the Alarum menu also shows you everything that happened to everybody in the previous three seasons. The Alarum menu also lets you see who the active players are and what their current fief holdings are.

The format of the Herald is constantly undergoing refinement. Eventually, you will be able to pick and choose which types of information you want to see, rather than having to plow through the entire Herald. The Herald contains information on military operations, births, deaths, fief transfers, players being outlawed or excommunicated as well as players starting or quitting the game.

In addition to the news, you will find many entertaining stories by players of adventures past. These tales hold lessons for adventures future and should be read carefully when encountered. There will also be accounts of online events like jousts.
