Computer wargames published to date, in alphabetical order. The following list is not complete, partially because I left out some games that were arguable wargames and because I also left out some real dogs that either had limited distribution (or should have had limited distribution). The list is primarily limited because I had to make quite a pitch to my editor and the marketing people to get as much space you find here. Since 1978, over 700 computer wargames have been published. Most of them are listed here, and all the important (popular or just plain well done) ones are listed. I may be off on some of the publication dates. There may also be a few cases where I have the wrong publisher listed. The "author" is another problem, as computer games tend to be created by teams. Wherever possible, I listed either the sole author (designer and programmer) or the lead person of a team. Well, it's a start. If it's any help, you may encounter a public domain version of this list floating around BBS's or places like Genie. I obtained a lot of info by doing that for over a year and I will continue to update and support the public domain version.
