Comments: Cambridgeshire is a county in south-eastern England, just north of London. After the fall of Roman Britain it was at different times incorporated in the East Anglian Kingdom, Mercia, the Danelaw, and finally united England. Under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury , the shire town, Cambridge , is the site of the ancient university of the same name.
