Comments: Montpelier, the principal city of the Languedoc, has a rather large population, some 65,000 including the surrounding environs. There is an active port, with related shipbuilding and servicing as well as a cloth industry. The city is the See of a Bishop and there is a university, founded in 1289.

The city has been enfieffed to the King of Mallorca (player 110) since the late 13th century, but remains a part of France.
